Visual Student Roster: A Convenient Extension for Wichita State University Faculty
Visual Student Roster is a free Chrome extension developed by John Hammond, designed specifically for Shocker Faculty at Wichita State University. This extension brings a visual student roster feature to MyWSU, making it easier for faculty members to print student rosters.
With Visual Student Roster, faculty can simply open the Banner course list, select a specific course, and click on the extension. After waiting a few seconds, the roster will be ready for printing. Users also have the option to save the roster as a PDF.
It is important to note that if a course has more than 100 students, the roster will need to be printed 100 entries at a time by clicking the ">" button at the bottom of the class list. This limitation is due to Banner's support for only 100 entries per page.
To ensure the smooth functioning of the extension, it is recommended to whitelist wichita.edu on any content blockers that may be in use.
In case of any issues, the developer, John Hammond, is available for assistance. However, it is worth noting that the extension relies on the current functionality of Banner, including some misspelled entries, and may be considered a fragile hack. Patience is advised while using this extension.
